The Explorer Program is for youth between the ages of 15 and 19 who are interested in a career in law enforcement. As an Explorer you get a firsthand experience of what it is to be a police officer and work in law enforcement. You will to do ride-a-longs with uniformed officers, attend monthly meetings and trainings, assist the police department and the community with different events (4th of July, Trappers Day, National Night Out, variety of parades, etc), and perform community service each month. Explorers are given training similar to that of full time police officers so that each explorer has an understanding on the various aspects of law enforcement.

The Explorer Post is run by the members of the Post and are overseen and guided by members of the Fort Lupton Police Department who are advisors for the Post.  Explorers are able to participate in competitions to meet other explorers and put their training to use.
