Announcements

  • The Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) board announced last week that the City of Fort Lupton is a recipient of a $790,000 grant award. This grant award will go directly to the Community Center Park Renovation Project. Funding will help the community of Fort Lupton create a more inclusive community park where children of all ages and abilities can play and parents can connect. The project will add a splash pad area, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-accessible playground equipment, improved trails in and to the park, on-site restroom facilities, and shade structures and picnic tables for outdoor gatherings. Park improvements will increase safety, provide outdoor recreation options for those with physical disabilities or economic challenges, and make the park accessible by walking or biking.

  • The Weld Trust: The grant for $410,000 was approved on February 28, 2023.  Staff applied for the grant in the Fall of 2022. The overarching goal of the project is to increase access to and affordability of outdoor recreation for area residents, especially seniors, children, and those with limited economic resources, limited transportation options, or physical limitations. The project is consistent with The Weld Trust’s Healthy Habits funding priority subcategories of Active Living and Healthy Behaviors.

  • Committee Openings: Get involved in The City of Fort Lupton! We have multiple openings on our citywide committees. For more details please visit: View our committee openings here
