The Fort Lupton Public and School Library will begin offering curbside pickup on May 4th. Place items on hold and receive notice when they are available to schedule a pickup.
Is the library open?
We are following the suggestions of the CDC, City, County, State and Federal suggestions. Our goal is to preserve the health and safety of our staff and community. At this time we are planning to open in early June. While staff may be inside, our building is closed to the public. These dates are subject to change based on the guidance of our state and local health professionals.
What will happen to my items on hold?
The library will work to freeze all holds in place and we will hold on to it until we can schedule a pickup time with you. We will begin contacting patrons May 4th via phone or email to schedule a pickup time. Please note, you need to have a scheduled time to pick up items as there will be no drop in pickups.
Can I place a hold on a new item?
Patrons are welcome to place holds on items, and they will be available for pickup beginning May 4th, if they have arrived. We will appreciate your patience when we reopen, as we will have a large quantity of holds to process.
When can I return my items?
You can return you items now using the book drop. While we are fine free and have extended due dates through May 15th, feel free to return your item via the book drop. To ensure the health and safety of our patrons, returned items will be held for a specific time to meet CDC guidelines before recirculating.
Are you still offering programs?
Yes! All programs are being offered virtually via our Facebook page and Go To Meeting. You do not need to have a Facebook account to participate in these programs. For Go To Meeting, simply use the link and password in the event descriptions on our website here or our Facebook here.
What about Summer Reading Program?
For 2020, we have partnered with High Plains Library District to bring you a Summer Reading Adventure. Imagine Your Story this year beginning June 1 - August 16. Click here to sign up and start your quest!
Where can I find movies, books, and music?
All of our streaming and downloadable services are available now. This includes Overdrive/Libby (ebooks, audiobooks, and comics), Hoopla (music, movies, ebooks, audiobooks, and comics), Kanopy (movies), Freegal (streaming and downloadable music), and Flipster (magazines).
At this time, Kanopy has a collection of movies that do not count against your monthly limit, as does Hoopla. In addition, we’ve doubled your Hoopla checkout limit so you can check out 16 titles on one card.
Limits apply per card, and all card types have the same limits, so make good use of all the cards in your household.

What about ILL and Prospector?
We will waive all fines on Interlibrary Loan and Prospector items once they are returned.
Can we print, fax or use the computers?
To preserve the health and safety of our staff and community, none of our in-building services are available at this time. We are able to check out items via Curbside, and through our digital databases, such as Hoopla, Overdrive, Kanopy.
